Throwback speaker designs are often brought back by companies to celebrate popular creations, and some of the classic designs have become collector’s items with cult followings. The great majority fall short though when compared to current technology - nostalgia will only get you so far! Enter the Vigore (yes, it’s Italian for “vigor”).

It’s a large bookshelf that isn’t meant for a shelf but a stand. Don’t put it on the floor like an old 70’s speaker with an orange foam grill. Yes, this is a 3-way like the old stuff but the comparisons end there. The ported bass is actually tuned for smooth extension. Great detail without being in your face. Want to play something loud? You can do that and not drive everyone out of the room with elevated mids and highs.
