The Tanzanite is a 3-way reference monitor designed for high-end audio and video systems. With a compact
17.5" x 9.5" x 12" cabinet you can enjoy the virtues of a 3-way design in an enclosure normally reserved for
2-way designs. With a typical 7" 2-way both drivers
are asked to do quite a bit of work by covering a very wide frequency range. A 3-way reduces the demands on each driver and
each unit can be optimized for a more conservative operating range. The result is wider dispersion and improved
power response, yielding a more realistic soundstage and excellent imaging. Distortion is also lower so you can enjoy greater
detail and dynamics. For home theater a matching center channel
(Sardonyx) and surround (S6) are also available.
