AK Fest with the legendary D.B. Keele...
Many of our cabinets are custom built to order so we can offer a variety of real wood veneers. The cost will vary according to what species is selected; however, our pricing is very reasonable with a small upcharge for Rosewood, Bubinga, Pau Ferro, and other exotic veneers. To see what choices are available please visit www.certainlywood.com . They are known for providing very high quality products to cabinetmakers all around the world.
All standard cabinets are constructed from 3/4" MDF with 1" thick baffles and have additional bracing to minimize panel resonances. Hardwood trim is also applied in some of our custom cabinets.
The exterior is finished with a conversion varnish that has a low amount of V.O.C. and is thus more friendly to the environment. This medium gloss finish is durable and shows the natural beauty of the wood. We proudly manufacture many of our cabinets here in North Carolina and the state has a long history of making some of the finest furniture in the world. All speaker design and assembly is performed here as well.
All kits come standard with cabinet plans, assembled crossovers, drivers, 16awg stranded internal wiring, screws, input terminals, and foam gasket tape. Crossover components are high quality (Clarity Cap, Mills, Dayton, Madisound, Mundorf, and others) and selected for optimal performance. We also can supply precut baffles and cabinets for designs using the Parts Express cabinets. Damping material is also available in composite foam sheets and polyfill. Feel free to ask if you need a quote for these options.
Assembled speakers and kits are usually shipped via UPS (USPS for international shipments where possible). The larger assembled systems (line arrays and some floorstanding speakers ) are shipped by truck (USA/Canada) or ocean freight to other countries. DHL service is also available for overseas customers. Where possible we use recycled packing materials and all speakers are double-boxed or crated to make sure that your order arrives safely. All prices include shipping to the mainland USA. If you live in another area please contact us for a total cost to your address.
You can order via personal check, cashier's check, or money order. We also accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, bank drafts, and direct deposits via www.paypal.com . Overseas customers may use wire transfer to our bank. All payments are to be made in U.S. dollars and please allow 7-10 business days for checks to clear. If purchasing by PayPal use the e-mail address email@example.com to send your payment. Except for special sale items we don't charge any extra fees for using PayPal. North Carolina customers please add the appropriate sales tax for your county of residence.
All speakers are built to order and delivery times can vary according to our shop schedule. We take pride in offering delivery times and quality better than the majority of our factory-direct custom cabinet competitors. Some models are available in imported production cabinets for 2-3 week delivery. The average time for a custom cabinet design is 4-6 weeks (6-8 weeks for line arrays) and you'll be given an estimate at the time of your order. Kits usually ship within 5-7 business days upon receipt of your order. We operate this way in order to offer you the best prices and a wide variety of finish options.
We realize that purchasing a product without listening to it beforehand involves some risk. For that reason we offer a 45-day trial period for some models (just ask if you have a specific design in mind for purchase) . If the speakers don't meet or exceed your expectations simply contact us for a return authorization. All we ask is that you return the speakers (freight prepaid) in new condition with the original packaging; otherwise, a restocking charge will apply. Once your return is examined and passes inspection we will issue a full refund of your initial purchase.
All assembled speakers have a two-year warranty on parts and workmanship. Line array systems are repaired on-site within the warranty period. For systems other than line arrays service will be provided by a local authorized repair center at their site or you may return the speaker to us for repair. Before you ship back the speaker please contact us so we can troubleshoot the problem and if needed issue a return authorization. When shipping your speakers please be careful to use the original packing material; however, if you don’t have the factory-supplied packaging please contact us so we can advise you on the best way to package. Customers are responsible for any freight charges when shipping to Selah Audio. We pay for the return freight.
Kits are covered by a one-year warranty covering manufacturer defects. Simply contact us with the problem and we'll issue you a return authorization. Once you receive authorization return the part to us for examination and a replacement will be sent to you at no charge.
Both kit and assembled speaker warranties exclude abuse (burnt voice coils), accidental damage (such as tweeters poked in by your toddler), and cosmetic damage (scratched cabinets,etc.). Unauthorized modifications to drivers, cabinets, or crossovers will void the warranty.
